Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; envilaental A 0 A the council on environmental quality as required by ff the council on environmental quality CEQ reviewed the statement for 30 days and released this information in early september deseret news september 7th ath grace reppert CEQ staff member responsible for reviewing the environmental impact statement on the project central utah project told the deseret news this morning that the 30 day review period will end sept 9 allowing the project to go ahead aliss miss qliss reppert said there was little chance that the council would ask the interior department to add to the impact statement or do anything else to delay work on the project since that time officials from utah and surrounding states have been anxiously awaiting a statement from the department of interior directing completion of the big water project it is indeed time the project got back on schedule before a crisis occurs according to the salt lake county water conservancy district residents within its area have been living on borrowed water which was available because of extremely wet seasons recently this last summer some residents in that county were forced to carry water to their homes in in buckets during a hot summer spell in another area of the state the city of roosevelt in the uinta basin citizens experienced water rationing throughout much of the hot summer season according to lynn ludlow manager of the central utah water conservancy district which sponsors the central utah project in behalf of the citizens new construction must start soon he commented that the congress authorized bonneville upalco jensen and uintah units of the CUP will help eliminate the water supply and facility problems being experienced in many areas of the state he is hopeful that the bureaucratic hassling and the repetitious environmental delays will stop before a dry year hits utah and residents suffer board of directors of the central utah water conservancydistrict conservancy district the following is a list of the individuals who represent the citizens of the areas in which they reside with regard to the central utah project to help you get to know them better we offer a brief personal sketch of each individual they have worked hard in the interests of people they represent and continue to do so please contact them for information or to insure that your ideas concerning the central utah project are considered as decisions are made 1k ak dnn clyde ritchie robert B hilbert lynn S ludlow wasatch county salt lake county general manager president vice president secretary clyde ritchie currently serving as chairman of the board of the centralutah thecentralutah Centra lUtah water conservancy district wasatch county commissioner president of the utah water users association retired livestock rancher president of lake creek irrigation co robert B hilbert manager of the salt lake county water conservancy district president of the utah water users association president of the salt lake county water and waste water association member of the board of directors of the salt lake county water users association he now holds the prestigious title of vice president of the international
