Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; if DWR plans materialize these tributaries tributa ries will have the potential of raising as many as 10 million trout a year also anglers should notice an improvement in fishing A new type of cutthroat trout will be planted along with 400000 rainbow trout and kokanee sokanee salmon these fish will be planted six weeks after the treatment within a few years of the treatment larger fish should be noticed by anglers orem man joins local CUP office lee J mcquivey orem has been appointed assistant projects manager of the US bureau of reclamations utah projects office according to P kirt carpenter projects manager A longtime long time federal employee mcquivey leaves his position as supervisory civil engineer responsible for managing the US army corps of engineers utah field office in salt lake city mcquivey will be a valuable addition to the utah projects office carpenter said he brings 30 years of experience in water resources development to his new position and as a native utahn is very familiar with utahs water needs in his new position mcquivey will assist carpenter in managing the provo office decd dkcd CD newsletter commendation to the water district to the editor so many times we hear or read about people who are unhappy and frustrated with the service and policies of public utilities however very seldom when these very same companies do something for the good of the consumer is it ever made public I 1 would like to voice a compliment instead of a complaint to the personnel of the salt lake county water conservancy district when the driveway of our home was damaged they immediately accepted full responsibility and made sure the driveway was completely and satisfactorily replaced mr jeff hilbert and his assistant kent klein not only seemed genuinely concerned but were true to their word and were most helpful and courteous at all times the county conservancy district needs to be commended for having such outstanding employees I 1 surely appreciate them sylva R henricksen holladay which is planning and overseeing construction of the central utah project construction on a major feature of the project the jordanelle Jor danelle dam is scheduled to start in the spring of 1987 mcquivey served with the corps of engineers for 18 years before that he served in the original central utah projects office and upper colorado regional office in salt lake city as an hydraulic engineer A native of salem he attended local schools and earned his BS degree in civil engineering from utah state university in 1957 jordanelle Jor danelle reservoir model located in local banks A model of the jordanelle Jor danelle D dam am and reservoir will be on display in a series of locations in the heber city area during the months of january and february it will be available for viewing and pamphlet information at the valley and deseret federal banks US post office the heber city library and the homestead the model has been developed by the bureau of reclamation along with pamphlets designed and produced by the central utah water conservancy district this display is a joint effort by the bureau of reclamation and CUWCD to encourage the residents of heber city to become involved and interested in the construction of the jordanelle thejordanelle Jor danelle dam the jordanelle Jor danelle dam and reservoir is a major feature of the central utah projects municipal and industrial system bonneville unit the dam will be located 6 miles north of heber city on the provo river the model includes an artists conception of the major recreation site on the west shore which will include camping boat rampdocking ramp docking and vehicle parking facilities A day use recreation area is also planned for the eastern arm in the rock cliff area of the reservoir construction of the dam is continued on page 5
