Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; ywyfit ti n ha h1 u 13 smail small res stabilized 77 whiterocks whiteracks White rocks racks uintah R 4111hof iteroc tridel bridel lpint spint RO myton ourey ouray A the advance planning of the uintah unit is being completed with the construction scheduled for 1978 the uintah unit will store the high flows of the uinta and whiterocks rivers for the irrigation of indian and non indian land for municipal and industrial use for recreation and for fish and wildlife purposes flood control will also be improved storage regulation will be provided in the 47000 acre foot capacity uinta reservoir on the uinta river and in the 32000 acre foot capacity whiterocks reservoir on whiterocks river irrigation supplies will be released from both reservoirs into the stream channels below and then distributed through existing and new canal systems about 1000 acre feet of municipal and industrial water will be made available from project storage for use in the vicinity of roosevelt approximately 70 percent of water supply will be developed for indian irrigation lands the uintah unit will store the high flows of uinta and whiterocks rivers for irrigation municipal and industrial use recreation fish and wildlife purposes 33 the ute indian tribe is working with the bureau of reclamation on impact and design data in a cooperative effort to help spur construction at its earliest date n i jai jay jt i is fr i
