Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; starvation reservoir was completed in 1970 recreation facilities at starvation consist of 31 campground units and 50 picnic areas starvation has been noted for the excellent fishery however the fishery has been declining over the past several years the introduction of several warm water species is once again improving the fishery starvation reservoir is also a popular boating reservoir with its rugged rocky shores and sandy beaches it also has concrete boat ramps and S restroom facilities ua u& A n a14 to protect the reservoirs for drinking water as well asfor as for the excellent recreational facilities please clean up afteryourself after yourself upper stillwater dam is constructed on rock creek 31 miles northwest of duchesne at the 8175 foot elevation level upper stillwater reservoir is formed behind the 185 foot high dam with a capacity of 33123 acre feet of stored water upper stillwater reservoir will provide camping picnicking boating small motor fishing hiking and big game hunting in the fall upper stillwater has been stocked with rainbow trout and maintains a constant fishery because of its location on the borders of the primitive area upper stillwater reservoir has renewed the accessibility of the high uintah lakes red fleet dam and reservoir so named because the red rock formations northeast of the reservoir resemble a fleet of ships was completed in 1980 and filled in 1983 the reservoir is on big brush creek about 6 miles northwest of dinosaur national monument recreation activities include 30 campground units 31 picnic areas a concrete boat ramp and restroom facilities fishing is popular at the reservoir with brown and rainbow trout being taken the area is noted for big game hunting as both deer and elk frequent the countryside the contrasting shades of red white and off shades of the sandstone rocks and ledges make this a beautiful area to visit
