Description THE NAVAJOS The Colorado River Storage Project provides some immediate benefits for members of the Navajo Tribe, the nation's largest Indian Tribe. In addition, the project opens the way for further opportunities for this poverty-stricken Tribe whose members are seeking ways to help themselves. Immediate benefits will come from construction of the Navajo Dam, one of the major storage units of the project, near Farmington, New Mexico. This dam will provide flood control and regulate the river....
