Description Journal: Anthropological Notes, University of Utah Department of Anthropology, "Historical Sites in Glen Canyon, Mouth of San Juan River to Lee's Ferry", Number 46, June 1960, page 33 below, which probably dates back to prehistoric times. When this was first observed June 22, 1958 it consisted solely of a foot trail of 32 toe and hand holds worked into the surface of the rock. The upper ones had been enlarged slightly by a pick or sharp tool. Use of the trail was facilitated by a platform of slab rock at the base and three tree trunks leaned against the cliff (Fig. 14).
