Description | Immediately upstream from the mining area at the head of a small wash there is a shallow cave that was used for the storage of equipment and tools some of which remain (Fig. 24). A large number of chips in the cave indicates this to have been a chipping area for the Indians who probably used the plentiful gravel of the terrace for their material.
