| Description | Phreatophyte Eradication and Control--This program would mechanically eradicate and control dense growths of phreatophytes now infesting about 42,000 acres of Federal and nonarable Indian land on the flood plain of the Colorado River which annually consume many thousands of acre-feet of water. Combined with and assisting the eradication and control program, 141 miles of drains would be constructed.
