Description Recharge from surface-water irrigation is the largest component of aquifer recharge on the Eastern Snake River plain, supplying about 60% of the total aquifer recharge. Net ground-water withdrawals for irrigation represent about 14% of the total aquifer discharge, second only to spring flows (Garabedian 1992).
