Description The Aberdeen-Springfield Canal, a large open channel irrigation system in southeastern Idaho, is experiencing fluctuating flow rates and water levels due to the non-continuous operation of some pumped turnouts. The fluctuations cause problems in system management and flow variations at other turnouts which require a constant water level to receive a steady flow of water.
