Description Delph Carpenter's account of a July 31 to August 10, 1918, reconnaissance trip with R. P. Teele, R. P. Teele, Jr., and R. G. Hosea from Denver, Colorado, to Lincoln, Nebraska. The men took some stream measurements of the South Platte River, Platte River, and irrigation canals and ditches diverting from it, observed the condition of irrigation infrastructure, interviewed several people involved in irrigation, and visited the Nebraska State Land Surveyor's office in Ogallala to research U.S....
