| Description | The collection consists of 146 color photographs of the eruption of Mount St. Helens in Washington State on May 18, 1980. Most photographs are from a helicopter or airplane near the summit of the mountain.; Biographical/Historical note; Mount St. Helens is part of the Cascade Mountain Range, located in Washington State.
