Description | Records of a Seattle shipbuilding firm.; Robert Moran was born on January 26, 1857 in New York City to Edward and Jean Dear (Boyack) Moran. He left school at the age of fourteen to acquire training as a machinist. In 1875, he migrated to the Pacific Coast, going first to San Francisco.
