Description We examined spatial variation in daytime drift density of Baetis larvae collected from 42 habitat patches in Clearwater Creek, southwest Washington, USA. Drift density ranged between 22 and 525 100 m-3. Variation in drift density appeared to be inversely related to current velocity, although only weakly.
