Abstract This collection speaks to grief and loss - a lyric grasp at postmodern atonement. It begins from a place of empty and fills from there, representing a sister's attempt at piecing together the puzzle and heartbreak of suicide through imagistic distance. Across sections, the collection is concerned with a sense of impending disaster, and interpretation of the mystical - be it religion, dream-telling, or prophecy - as the narrator questions her agency in the events that unfold.
