Abstract Eleven species of Mononchidae Chitwood, 1937 were
found among the nematodes separated from 48 soil samples
in Thailand and sent to Oregon State University. Six
species are newly described and illustrated including
Iotonchus bangkokensis, Iotopchus ainostomos, Iotonchus
chantabunensis, Iotonchus ravonqensis, fotonchus thai-Iandensis, and Miconchus triodontus. Also reported is a
description and illustration of an immature female belonging to the genus Iotonchus, possibly a new species.
Females of Iotonchus basidontus Clark, 1960; Mylonchulus
index (Cobb, 1906) Andrassy, 1958; Mylonchulus incurvus
(Cobb, 1917) Andrassy, 1958; Mylonchulus montanus
(Thorne, 1924) Andrassy, 1958 and Mylonchulus lacustris
(Cobb, M.V. 1906) Andrassy, 1958 are redescribed and
illustrated. Three taxonomic keys are prepared to
identify the genera and species found in Thailand. Tables of body measurements are provided to compare
dimensions of specimens from several countries with
those of Thailand.
