Abstract The Oregon Fish Commission operated the Columbia River seal control program under legislative authority. Its purpose was to harass seals and reduce their predation on salmon in the river. Bounties were paid from 1956 through 1970(?) and a seal hunter hired during 1959-1970. Fisherman were surveyed in 1971 concerning the program and the problem. This reports the response to that survey.
