Subject irrigation efficiency; irrigation requirements; hydrologic models
Description The irrigation efficiency concept is crucial in irrigation systems design, planning, and management. It is used in determining total irrigation water requirements and in sizing the irrigation system components. Irrigation efficiency is not a deterministic parameter; the occurrence and sequencing cannot be predicted with complete reliability. Realistically, it is a probabilistic phenomenon subject to large spatial and time variabilities, and hence uncertain.
