Description Ground water decline has become aserious problem in may semiarid areas of the western United States. Idaho has designated five areas in which ground water decline has become critical. This study examined the effects of a declining ground water level in the Raft River Basin, the largest of the critical ground water areas. Dis similar crop possibilities to climate differences in the basin necessitated its division into a northern and a southern portion.
