Description A linear-programming (LP) framework and computer routines for systems design and cost estimating are presented for design and planning of irrigation systems from the farmer's or developer's point of view on an after-tax basis. The framework allows planners to evaluate economics of deficit irrigation in system design and to optimize the size and operation of irrigation system components.
