Description In the irrigated areas of the western United States, numerous water management problems exist due, partially, to the historically uncoordinated development of multiple irrigation companies and districts. Some of the problems associated with these developments are multiple canals contributing high seepage losses, uncoordinated acquisition of adequate water supplies, and lack of effective methods, procedures and authorities for improving water deliveries and farm water management.
