Title Determination of Silver Using P-Demithylaminobenzylidenerhodanine Dissolved in Dimethylformamide as a Chromophore
Creator Millar, H. C Fletcher, Joel E
Description The color of p-dimethylaminobenzylidernerhodanine, in dimethylformamide, spots on filter paper were tested as indices of silver concentrations in water. Additional problems, such as the adsorption of silver on container surfaces, are also outlined. The methods as tested were not deemed reliable at concentrations below 10-6 gram of silver per milliliter of solution. However, the experiments suggest considerable promise for other modifications of colorimetric techniques.
