Description The primary purpose for the analysis of the Haina Well water by the Water Resources Research Center of the University of Hawaii at Manoa was to determine the presence or absence of human enteric viruses in the well water. Since coliform bacteria is currently the only indicator bacteria required by law to assess the hygienic quality of water, the total coliform and fecal coliform contents of the well water were tested.
