Title | WRRCTR No. 74 A Preliminary Report on Urban Hydrology and Urban Water Resources: Oahu, Hawaii |
Creator | Fok, Yu-Si |
Subject | Watersheds -- Hawaii -- Oahu. Runoff -- Mathematical models. Watersheds -- Electromechanical analogies. Watersheds -- Data processing. Hydrology -- Hawaii -- Oahu. |
Description | The major tasks under Phase II of the project were to: (1) adapt and evaluate several existing watershed simulation models for their applicability under local conditions, (2) expand the data collection effort in the research watersheds, and (3) identify problem areas for subsequent study. The instantaneous unit hydrograph (IUH) theory was explored in detail. The results indicate that the successive routing method developed by Nash (1957) has better applicability on urban watersheds near... OWRR Project No. B-028-HI, Grant Agreement No. 14-31-0001-3873 The progr&ms and activities described herein were supported in part by funds provided by the United States Department of the Interior as authorized under the Water Resources Act of 1964, Public Law 88-379; the City & County of Honolulu; and the Water Resources Research Center, University of Hawaii. |
