Field Value
Title WRRCTR No. 17 Estimation of ground water configuration near Pahala, Hawaii using electrical resistivity techniques.
Creator Hussong, Donald M. Cox, Doak C.
Subject Groundwater -- Hawaii -- Pahala. Earth resistance. Electric measurements. Groundwater flow -- Hawaii -- Pahala. Electric resistors. Sounding and soundings.
Description In 1965 the Water Resources Research Center of the University of Hawaii began development of the necessary equipment to explore the feasibility of an extensive resistivity exploration program. Subsequent funding permitted the organization of this project with the dual purpose of developing reliable and convenient instrumentation for resistivity surveying in the Hawaiian islands and to apply the technique toward the solution of a ground water problem in Pahala, on the island of Hawaii. A... OWRR Project No. B-005-HI, Grant Agreement No. 14-01-0001-1011 The programs and activities described herein were supported in part by funds provided by the United States Department of the Interior as authorized under the Water Resources Act of 1964, Public Law 88-379.
