Description The turbulence normally encountered in water works transmission and distribution pipelines is sufficient to mix several sources of water so that the resultant blend is the weighted average of the different sources. Such in-line blending under the proper conditions can be advantageously utilized to blend water to achieve water quality objectives without any ad-hoc blending facilities.
