Description | "1277 Steel forms for lining the arch sections of the diversion tunnels were erected on the muck-fill on the Nevada side of the river. June 18th, 1932. 1235 Section of the arch jumbo form being transported across the river by overhead cableway. Note the workman on top of the form. June 10th, 1932. 1278 Forms were constructed in 11-foot sections and transported to the Arizona side by overhead cableways. June 18th, 1932. " In 1931, Utah joined Six Companies Inc. to raise the surety required to bid for the Boulder (Hoover) Dam contract. One of the world’s largest dams, Hoover Dam was completed in 1936 at a cost of $49 million.
