Creator | Unknown |
Date | ca. 1973 |
Relation | Edward C. Fritz papers, 1950s-2008 |
Coverage | Texas |
Description | One of a group of 46 slides depicting views of the Trinity River, Texas, from the collection of Ned Fritz. In the early 1970s, Fritz was campaigning with the group, Citizens' Organization for a Sound Trinity, to stop the canalization of the Trinity River. This scene shows industrial development in the river basin and was likely photographed to illustrate the negative impact of increased industry, which a commercial barge canal would bring to the area. |
