| Description | This is a statement prepared by Ned Fritz in his capacity as chairman of the Texas Committee on Natural Resources. Fritz was also involved with Citizens' Organization for a Sound Trinity. Both groups were contesting the project to extend the levees of the Trinity River which went for bond election on June 10, 1978. The floodway extension was a component of the larger Trinity River Project which was defeated by public vote in 1973. |
