Description The prepared statement of James F. White, submitted to the Public Works Subcommittee on Appropriations during hearings in Washington, D.C., in May 1973. White was testifying with Citizens' Organization for a Sound Trinity against the continuation of works on the Trinity River which were related to the Trinity River barge canal project. The project had been defeated by public vote on March 13, 1973 in Texas.
