| Description | This is a mail-out to the environmentalists who agreed to publicly endorse Alan Steelman when he ran for Congress in 1972, ahead of a press conference held in the Dallas Press Club on August 10, 1972. Fritz at the time was heavily involved with Citizens' Organization for a Sound Trinity which, like Steelman, opposed the construction of the Trinity River barge canal. Steelman's running opponent was former Dallas mayor Earle Cabell, a supporter of the channelization project. |
