Description M.S. Thesis by Paul J. Pehrson, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in the Department of Engineering, Utah State Agricultural College, 1950. Written under direction of Professor Cleve H. Milligan. Typewritten, carbon copy, 66 single-sided pages, with tables, large folded charts, and b&w photographs pasted in. The increase of irrigation on the higher lands in Utah has resulted in an increased need for drainage on much of the lower land in the valleys. The Utah Agricultural Experiment Station and the Utah Power and Light Company began a research project in 1947 on improved systems of drainage for irrigated lands. This thesis examines the research conducted in the area of Lewiston, Utah.
