Description | 1384 REPORT OF THE CHIEF OF ENGINEERS, V. S. ARMY. As constructed, the canal is 3,000 feet in length and has a clear width of 90 feet. There are two locks, 521 and 514 feet, respectively, between hollow quoins, each 90 feet wide, with 8 feet depth of water on miter sills.
