Omnipage 14 used to OCR 8 bit tiffs and generate text files for full text access. 16 bit grayscale and 48>24 RGB color tiffs edited in Photoshop CS 8.0: cropped, rotated, reduced in size, levels adjusted, grayscale bit depth reduced to 8 and JPEGs created. |

The borings show that there is not very suitable lock foundation at the head of the canal, but a fair foundation exists for two locks near the middle part of the canal location, where it is now expected to place them, making the locks adjoining but not combined. An addlitional reason for retiring the high-water lock is referred to in last annual report.
