Description | The excavated materials are bowlders, gravel, sand, massive conglomerate with detached pieces, and clay. The conglomerate is a black cemented sand rock, perhaps of volcanic origin. It varies widely in texture and hardness. Near the surface small bowlders, pebbles, and occasionally wood, coal, petrified wood, and other foreign substances are imbedded.
