| Description | In view of these facts the Board approves the location and plan of the canal as prepared by Maj. John M. Wilson, of the Corps of Engineers, but the Board is of opinion that the dimensions of the locks should be increased to 300 feet in length instead of 250, and to 50 feet in width instead of 46 feet.
