Description | I am directed to report on the eleven following points : First. A survey made at the mouth of the Willamette River showed that the channel which we cut during the year contained 17 feet of water, and extended entirely across the bar. An examination of Swan Island Bar showed that no serious changes had occurred in the excavated channel.
