Scanned images saved as 16 bit grayscale tiffs. 147.301 kb 8 bit - Gray Gamma 2.2 - greyscale Omnipage 14 used to OCR 8 bit tiffs and generate text files for full text access. 16 bit grayscale and 48>24 RGB color tiffs edited in Photoshop CS 8.0: cropped, rotated, reduced in size, levels adjusted, grayscale bit depth reduced to 8 and JPEGs created.
Description Camas and Vancouver sulfite mills employ calcium base liquor and discharge all pulping wastes to the stream. In addition, spent sulfite liquor is barged to the Columbia River from a mill located at Oregon City, Oregon. A significant reduction in the nutrient load, as measured by BOD can be obtained by destruction or utilization of sulfite pulping solids produced at Camas and Vancouver, and elimination of spent sulfite liquor barged to the Columbia River.
