Description | TUMBLE LAKE SITE Physical Description The project would be located in the North Santiam River Basin on the western slope of the Cascade Mountains about 65 miles southeast of Portland, a major load center. The project would utilize an existing Corps of Engineers' project, Detroit Lake, as the lower reservoir. The upper reservoir would be located in a natural depression which forms Tumble Lake, a 10-acre natural lake just north of Detroit Lake. Mean annual precipitation is about 82 inches.... |
