| Description | the Oregon shore extends from the foot of Fivemile Rapids (mile 191) to the head of Celilo Falls (mile 200). The canal has a depth of 8 feet, bottom width of 65 feet, and length of 8.5 miles and contains four locks. A channel improvement project provides for a channel 7 feet deep and 150 feet wide at low water from Celilo Falls to Wallula (mile 314). This project is completed to Umatilla (mile 290).
