Scanned images saved as 16 bit grayscale tiffs. 304.46 kb 8 bit - Gray Gamma 2.2 - greyscale Omnipage 14 used to OCR 8 bit grayscale tiffs and generate text files for full text access. 16 bit grayscale tiffs edited in Photoshop 6.0: cropped, rotated, reduced in size, levels adjusted, bit depth reduced to 8 and JPEGs created.
Description In no other subdivision is there greater opportunity to use water resources in broadening the agricultural and industrial bases of the economy. Although much the greater proportion of the land that can be irrigated with waters of tributary streams already has been developed, present use of the Columbia River for this purpose is negligible. Similarly, power developments have been completed at the more advantageous sites on tributary streams, but great possibilities remain on the main stem....
