Scanned images saved as grayscale and as 2 tone black and white multi-page tiffs. 430,827 bytes 8 bit - Gray Gamma 2.2 - grayscale Omnipage 14 used to OCR black and white multi-page tiffs and generate text files for full text access. Grayscale tiffs edited in photoshop: image cropped and rotated, reduced in size, levels adjusted for contrast from 0 - 1.00 - 255 to 39 - 0.95 - 255, and JPEGs created. |

Shank, of Hagerstown, Md., with the accompanying photographs and some notes of characteristic scenes on the Columbia River, Oregon, which were gathered during a recent tour in the far Western States.
