Suicide Rock denotes the site of the historic Parley's Canyon Reservoir. Built during the late 19th Century it was abandoned in the 20th Cetury with the construction of Mountain Dell Reservoir.

This mock valve contains two 16"" pipes, one carries water heading south and the other to the East Bench north of Parley's Canyon. Some of the Mountain Dell water at the valve is fed through a 30"" pipe and moves west toward Sugarhouse.

This 500' culvert near Suicide Rock runs under I-215. Teenagers block a portion of the water flow and then release it while ""shooting the tube"" on a boogie board or inner tube. It has also become a favorite place for taggers to apply their art.

Here the creek has been brought above ground as a water feature in the Sugarhouse neighborhood. West of this feature it continues underground to 1300 S & Main St. where it will head west and empty into the Jordan River.
