Map of Utah Territory Representing the Extent of the Irrigable, Timber, and Pasture Lands
Here is another historical map showing how Utah territory was represented in 1878. This map is from the Utah State University Library's Bear River Watershed Collection, which focuses on the geography and history of the region. The description of the map states that the "Map extends north and south from Snowville to Cedar City and east to west from Bear Lake to Grouse Creek. Finely drawn details include Utah's many mountains, rivers, and lakes as well as towns such as Logan, Smithfield, Fillmore, Honeyville, Ogden, Salt Lake City, Toquerville, etc. "
Map of Boulder Dam area and Las Vegas, Nevada, 1930
This map is from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas collection Southern Nevada and Las Vegas History in Maps, and shows a map of Boulder Dam and Las Vegas from October of 1930. The subtitle on the map refers to the area as the "World's greatest flood control system, reclamation project, electrical development, artificial body of water."
