Rising Flood Waters: 1964 Corvallis

This week we are featuring a photo from a collection that was just added to the Western Waters Digital Library. 1964 Corvallis, Oregon Flood shows a view of flooded apartments in North Corvallis. The collection, Rising Flood Waters: 1964 Corvallis comes to Western Waters from Oregon State University. The “1964 Corvallis Flood” features 59 oblique aerial photographs flown by Western Ways, Inc. on Dec. 23, 1964. These images were taken when the Willamette River stood at 23′ and document the extensive flooding in the Corvallis, Oregon area.
